Europe’s largest airline is recruiting staff from Romania

Ryanair is holding a recruitment event in Bucharest for technical staff, specialized in aircraft maintenance. Candidates are expected on Friday, October 28, at the Crystal Palace hotel in the capital city for the first interview with company representatives, for one of the of jobs in the employment offer.

The recruitment process targets several categories of qualified personnel such as engineers with B1/B2 license, aviation mechanics, sheet metal workers and stores staff. To occupy a position within the company, previous experience in aircraft maintenance is required.

Successful candidates will work at one of the airline’s maintenance and repair bases in Scotland, Lithuania, Poland, Spain, Germany or Ireland.

Given the seasonality of the aircraft maintenance activity, the work schedule covers only 9 out of 12 months, during the summer employees will benefit from 3 months of paid leave, in addition to the 2 weeks off offered during the winter holidays.

The flights to a specific base in Europe, accommodation expenses and per diems will be covered by the employer, and depending on the level of qualification and experience, the salaries offered can far exceed the European average for this category of personnel.

For the maintenance of its fleet, planned to reach more than 600 aircraft in the coming years, the airline uses a mix of internal facilities and external suppliers. Across its six heavy maintenance bases in the European Union and the United Kingdom, Ryanair Heavy Maintenance Group employs more than 1,500 specialists, producing more than 1 million man-hours annually.
