Bogdan Gabor was re-appointed president of The Association of Human Resource Services Providers

Bogdan Gabor, Country Manager of the human resources recruitment and consulting company Lugera, The People Republic, has been appointed for a new two-year mandate as President of the Association of Human Resource Services Providers (AFSRU).

“Our mission remains dedicated to developing and harmonizing the range of human resources services, in line with the needs of the labor market, the expectations of the candidates and the legislative changes. In this direction, the activities of the Association were focused on several key aspects: legislative changes, establishing benchmarks and good practices for the industry, as well as adopting European trends and adapting them to Romanian realities,” said Bogdan Gabor, President of AFSRU.

AFSRU has taken an active role in the dialogue with the social partners and regulators with a view to the continuous modernization of the legislation in the field of temporary staffing, employment, payroll service supply, personnel administration, training and other outsourced services.

Thus, the representatives of the Association actively participate in the Inter-institutional Working Group for the repatriation of the Romanian labor force from abroad, led by the presidential administration, together with the other ministries and organizations involved. Within this project AFSRU assigns resources for identifying available jobs, current customer requirements and areas with the most available jobs, the goal being to create a plan of measures and benefits to determine Romanians to return and to find a job in Romania.

AFSRU has also been actively involved in “The Development, stimulation and improvement of temporary work and vocational training services for a competitive and efficient labor market” – SMIS project 129752 / SIPOCA / 707 carried out with the close participation of AFSRU representatives.

AFSRU militates for the maintenance of high standards of ethics and professionalism of the operators in this market, being actively involved in educating the market, promoting HR services, defining and disseminating good practices.

”We have developed a specialized working group in which members discuss the news with impact in the payroll area for their correct implementation and analyze the legislative proposals in real time in order to provide views and positions to the competent authorities. Also, because we want to increase the level of expertise of the professionals in the HR industry and the quality of the services we provide, in addition to the regular meetings aimed at exchanging experience, we organize a series of events designed to analyze trends and provide solutions to the challenges of the present,” added Bogdan Gabor.

Founded in June 2010 by the most important players in the human resources services market, AFSRU is the professional organization of the human resources services providers in Romania. The association brings together 16 international and local companies and aims to set quality standards for the industry, synchronized with good practices at European level, flexible access to the labor market and create new job opportunities. AFSRU is a member of the World Employment Confederation, the international employers’ association.

A graduate of the Faculty of Economics and Business Management at Babeș Bolyai University, Bogdan Gabor graduated in 2017 from the courses of an Executive MBA program at Hull University in the United Kingdom. Bogdan Gabor joined the Lugera The People Republic team in October 2010, and in October 2012 he was appointed Sales and Operations Regional Director for the northwestern part of the country. Since the beginning of August 2016, he took over the role of National Director of Operations, and after 2 years that of Country Manager.
