Artificial Intelligence is increasingly making its way into the labour market and, with the growing number of AI tools available, there are more and more fears in the public space about a possible danger, with negative effects such as increased unemployment and social tensions.

However, these fears seem unjustified, as more than 60% of respondents to a recent bestjobs survey believe that their work cannot be replaced by AI, while 22% see it as a way to make certain tasks at work more efficient and only 18% remain sceptical.

Of the participants in the bestjobs survey who said they used Chat GPT, 27% said they most often turned to it for work, another 27% for generating texts and articles, 35% for general knowledge information, 7% for templates and email responses, and 5% for writing code. A good proportion used Chat GPT as a support for hiring, with 32% involving Chat GPT in their job search, 12% in getting interview tips, 25% in writing their email or cover letter when applying for a new job.

Online recruitment platform bestjobs announces, for the first time in Romania, the launch of the first AI-based Career Coach that works as a true personal career advisor, helping candidates to better orient themselves professionally, complete their CVs or refine their searches on bestjobs. Users can also receive useful advice from the Digital Coach so that they are better prepared for a potential interview, completely transforming the experience of using a recruitment platform.

“At bestjobs, we support users in their endeavours and are with them in the most efficient way possible, integrating cutting-edge digital technologies for industry innovation. We amplify the use of AI by integrating and training a 100% digital career coach, who uses Artificial Intelligence to provide candidates with valuable and personalised advice on how to improve their presence on the platform or how to become more attractive to employers, starting from CV writing to interview participation,” says Andrei Frunză, CEO bestjobs.

Among recruiters, more than two-thirds admit to using AI platforms in the recruitment process, and just as many say they have started to track candidates’ ability to use such tools. Most often recruiters choose to use AI for writing job ads, for selecting the most effective matches based on resumes received, and for creating content that promotes the company’s employer branding strategy.

“In recent years, the labour market has been on the side of the candidates, who in many fields are insufficient in relation to available jobs. This has meant a much higher workload for employers, who were in a constant search for suitable candidates. Bestjobs created an algorithm to help recruiters match candidates to active jobs faster, based on the information in the description. In addition, bestjobs has integrated intelligent content generation for job descriptions directly into the platform, saving recruiters 60% of the time spent posting an ad,” adds Andrei Frunză.

Bestjobs thus significantly improves the experience of the platform’s users, bringing added value to candidates, through the personalised advice they have access to in real time, and to employers, by simplifying the recruitment process, from the publication of the advert to the selection of candidates. Bestjobs’ integrated AI Career Coach is available here.

The survey was conducted between May and June, with 1,867 internet users.
