Radisson Blu Bucharest launches the RESPONSIBLE °COMFORT initiative

Radisson Blu Bucharest, the first hotel in Romania to use 100% renewable electricity, continues to invest in sustainability. Over the last few months, the company has invested in the installation of state-of-the-art equipment and technological solutions that allows the hotel optimize consumption of resources and energy. The €2.1 million investment facilitates concrete measures in line with the hotel group’s sustainability commitments, aimed at achieving net zero emissions by 2050 worldwide.

The investments included the installation of new, high-performance and more energy-efficient refrigeration equipment, the upgrading of the heating system through the installation of high-performance boilers and distribution pumps, as well as the optimization of the temperature control system in the rooms and public areas inside the hotel complex.

To communicate the plan of measures implemented, Radisson Blu launches the RESPONSIBLE °COMFORT campaign, designed to convey a simple but impactful message: “comfort can be responsible”.

The new initiatives complement the action plan that the hotel has already had in place for some time, implemented at Group level. Radisson Blu Bucharest has also invested in a feasibility study for the installation of solar panels.

In 2022, Radisson Blu renewed its Green Key certification, obtained 9 years ago, a guarantee that it operates by complying with strict criteria in terms of water consumption, energy, waste management, as well as by complying with the norms of cleanliness and sustainability education for staff, guests, and suppliers.
