SanoPass, the leading provider of fitness subscriptions, launches the portfolio study regarding the interest in maintaining an active lifestyle among Romanians during the summer season. The study was conducted between January and July 2023 on a group of over 2.000 active individuals from the 50.000 members of the SanoPass community, highlighting the consumption behavior of fitness services during the summer months, specifically June and July, a trend that goes further into August.

The analysis results show a significant decrease of about 20% in physical activity during the summer, with the seasonal peak being recorded in January, February, and March, followed by the autumn period, particularly in October and November.

“The vision of SanoPass focuses on promoting the well-being of consumers throughout the entire year. Regarding the summer season, there are various options for staying active, and we encourage every individual to maintain a consistent level of activity to preserve their health and vitality,” said Andrei Vasile, the founder of SanoPass by MedLife.

The main cities with high demand for fitness services are Bucharest, followed by Cluj, Brasov, Craiova, and Iasi, with Romanians willing to invest an average monthly budget of 190 lei in sports activities.

“The figures from our portfolio show that Brasov is a city where people consume fitness services above the national average, registering approximately 10 entries per subscriber on average, compared to 7.5 – 8% at the national level,” emphasized Andrei Vasile.

The SanoPass by Medlife community enjoys a diversity of participants, including 33% women and 67% men, with an average age of 29 years. SanoPass users stay active, going to the gym an average of 8 times per month, reflecting their desire to improve their health and physical condition.

Additionally, SanoPass by Medlife has observed an increase in employers’ interest in supporting an active lifestyle among their employees. In a positive trend, more and more companies are starting to offer fitness subscriptions or other facilities related to physical activity as additional fringe benefits for their employees. When well-being becomes an increasingly important theme within organizations, SanoPass encourages this type of commitment and promotes the benefits of a healthy and active working environment.

Continuing its commitment to facilitating access to a healthy lifestyle, SanoPass offers flexible solutions for each individual through its network of nearly 400 partner fitness facilities. The acquisition by MedLife in 2022 has strengthened the company’s position and contributed to expanding its range of services, reaffirming its commitment to providing a quality fitness experience regardless of the season.

With its health-focused approach, SanoPass remains one of the leaders in the fitness subscription industry, encouraging regular physical activity and supporting a healthy lifestyle. The company continues to support its members and the general public, encouraging each person to become active and understand the benefits of a regular exercise regimen.
