TeleDoc, one of the largest telemedicine providers in Eastern Europe, aims to get involved in the struggle against COVID-19 and provides 5.000 subscriptions, each valid for one week, so that Romanian patients can easily get in touch with a doctor. In case of need, the doctors from myTeleDoc app can address most of the common conditions and even prescribe medicine when medically indicated.

Romania’s situation concerning the large number of new cases of COVID-19 registered daily has led the representatives of TeleDoc to find a solution as to offer support to Romanian patients in case they need access to quality medical advice, free of charge. Through myTeleDoc, patients can talk to a doctor if they have medical problems, at any time of day or night, from anywhere

Part of TeleDoc’s vision is to make healthcare services accessible to everyone, that is why we decided to offer 5.000 free one-week subscriptions to Romanian patients, so that they can contact online a doctor at any hour of day or night. We empathize with the situation from Romania, so we decided to offer our support as to facilitate access to medical services for Romanian patience and to give a helping hand to Romanian doctors who are worthy of all our respect for their diligent efforts”, declared Florian Brandstetter, CEO of TeleDoc.

The process is easy-going. In case of need, for those who want to get a free one-week subscription on myTeledoc application, the company has created a landing page. One should access the following link: http://bit.ly/TeleDoc_covid_help. After signing up using one’s e-mail and first name, users will receive a code through e-mail. Afterwards, they should download myTeleDoc app, register and use the code. Once the app is installed, Romanian patients have unlimited access to quality medical advice, free of charge, for 7 days, through myTeleDoc app.

During these difficult times, it is necessary, as much as possible, to help one other. And it is an extraordinary thing that technology allows us to get in touch with a doctor, without going to the hospital or the family doctor’s office. Through the myTeleDoc application, anyone can benefit from quality medical advice provided by professionals from distance”, concluded Florian Brandstetter.

TeleDoc’s specialized platform operates on a pay-per-call basis and aims to serve all major medical disciplines, with a focus on medical consultations and secondary opinion services.

The digital service offers a multifunctional solution for medical advice. For a monthly fee, MyTeleDoc provides access to an extensive network of physicians and allows clients to speak with a physician 24/7, regardless of the client’s location. Prices for a doctor’s meeting may vary depending on the user’s preferences. Thus, for a subscription dedicated to a single person, the cost is 22 lei per month, for the whole family is 40 lei per month, and for a single call, without a subscription, the cost is 40 lei. Subscription prices only cover calls to family doctors.

With over 50,000 customers, TeleDoc is one of the fastest-growing health services in Europe. The TeleDoc service is currently available in Romania, Bulgaria, Albania, and Kosovo, and will appear in new markets soon.
