The private hospital for aesthetic and plastic surgery and reconstructive microsurgery SWISS HOSPITAL has exceeded 800 surgical procedures performed in 2023 in the operating room, by the teams of employed doctors and collaborators of the network. The most requested procedures in 2023 within the Swiss Clinics network were: breast implants, rhinoplasty, liposuction, abdominoplasty, and blepharoplasty.

Swiss Clinics estimates that, in 2024, facial lifting will climb to the top of the most requested aesthetic surgery procedures. The estimate considers the rising demand in the first months of the year for this type of interventions – for example, last week, three facial lifting procedures were performed in a single day at Swiss Hospital.

“Medical aesthetics in Romania is driven by the increasing public awareness of individual appearance, thus propelling a heightened desire for interventions. This shift in cultural norms, combined with an increasing awareness of the various accessible solutions for an ever-widening audience, has played a key role in the upward trajectory of the market. The increasing recognition and acceptance of aesthetic interventions in Romania reflect a changing mentality towards personal aesthetic improvement”, says Valentin Burada, the founder of Swiss Clinics.

According to Swiss Clinics’ forecasts, the age range of patients will continue to broaden, while the difference between female and male patients opting for aesthetic procedures is expected to narrow.

Anticipating this trend, Swiss Hospital houses a division dedicated to men, Swiss Men being the first 100% male aesthetic division in Romania. Swiss Men specifically addresses male aesthetic concerns, such as gynecomastia and hair regeneration therapies.

Trends in Medical Aesthetics

In recent years, there has been an increase in preference for minimally invasive and non-invasive aesthetic procedures, alongside the organic growth of traditional surgical procedures.

Minimally invasive/non-surgical alternatives offer multiple benefits that persuade patients considering aesthetic interventions for the first time, such as reduced scarring and faster recovery.

Surgical and non-surgical interventions within the Swiss Clinics network are performed by outstanding doctors in modern facilities, equipped with the latest technologies. In Bucharest, Swiss Hospital boasts 10 medical offices and its own operating room, equipped to the highest standards, capable of supporting both simple and complex surgical interventions, as part of multidisciplinary procedures.

The hospital covers a useful area of 140 square meters and spans over 4 levels, with expertise in the fields of plastic, aesthetic, and reconstructive microsurgery, as well as dentistry, dermatology, and chiropractic.
