20 years of Töpfer in Romania: raising generations, in harmony with nature

Throughout its two decades of presence on the local market, Töpfer has been dedicated to raising and nurturing generations, carefully choosing ingredients in complete harmony with people and the environment.

 

In a challenging demographic context, with a birth rate decline of 19% in recent years, Töpfer, a brand from the Alliance Healthcare portfolio, has recorded an impressive 11% increase in the number of units sold over the past five years. This performance underlines the brand’s adaptability and resilience in the face of difficult market trends, as well as consumer confidence in the quality and benefits of Töpfer products.

Since its debut in Romania in 2004, with an initial range of just six products, Töpfer has grown exponentially to offer today a wide portfolio of 32 products, including organic food for infants and children, as well as cosmetic products with ecological ingredients, intended for the hygiene and care of mothers and children. The portfolio diversification reflects the brand’s vision to meet the evolving needs of families, providing safe and sustainable products that promote healthy living from the start.

Last week, Alliance Healthcare Romania organized a memorable event to mark the two decades of Töpfer’s presence in Romania. The celebration brought together health professionals and offered participants a unique show, dedicated to generations and their evolution. Through captivating discussions and a special artistic moment, the event highlighted the deep connection between generations, reflecting Töpfer’s ongoing commitment to healthy growth and education, medically and psychologically, and emotionally.

The history of Töpfer, originating in 1911, is marked by significant innovations in the field of nutrition and childcare. From the development of the protein milk formula for infants with gastrointestinal disorders, to the Lactana B formula, the first to contain live cultures of Bifidobacteria – the unique combination of probiotic strains still used today, to the launch of the first ecological milk formula for infants.

Today, Töpfer takes pride in 20 years of presence on the Romanian market and over a century of sustainable production tradition, whether it’s ecological dairy products or natural cosmetic products.

In the spirit of continuous innovation and environmental protection, the brand has implemented eco-friendly packaging solutions in lieu of printed paper stickers, using exclusively 100% recycled paper and even using ecological inks, based on vegetable oil, for printing the outer boxes, thus eliminating over 6 tons of waste annually.

Töpfer’s commitment to quality is highlighted by the continuous maintenance and improvement of production standards, according to the IFS Food, an international standard specific for quality and safety audit of food products. Moreover, the brand’s sustainability objectives include significantly reducing CO2 emissions and promoting ecological agriculture that respects animal welfare.

Töpfer products are designed not only to meet the nutritional need of children, but also to promote a healthy and sustainable lifestyle.
