Former combat helicopter pilot Georges Durdilly appointed Head of Airbus Romania

Georges Durdilly, a former French Army combat helicopter pilot, has been appointed as Head of Country for Romania, replacing in this role Serge Durand who has retired.

Durdilly, aged 60, will represent Airbus as one company towards the country’s key stakeholders, and support the development of commercial operations. Georges Durdilly will also hold the position of General Manager at Airbus Helicopters Romania.

A former French Army combat helicopter pilot, with a Master’s degree in Electronic and Data Processing Engineering, Georges Durdilly joined Airbus 10 years ago and held several management roles and leading positions within the company.

For the past 5 years, he has been the Head of NH90 Programme Support Office at Airbus Helicopters and the NH90 Product Support Deputy Director at NH Industries.

With the proven achievements in programme management, corporate governance, customer services and operations and having recognized results in aligning resources to business objectives, Georges Durdilly will lead the Airbus team in Romania focusing on increasing the presence on the local market.

Airbus is present in Romania with three divisions: Airbus Helicopters, Airbus Defence and Space and Premium Aerotec Romania, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Airbus.
