PrestaShop Expands Its Business In Romania, Crossing The 6.500 Active Stores Threshold

PrestaShop, a top 3 global e-commerce platform, exceeded the 6,500 active stores threshold in Romania and plans to expand its business locally, through appointing a Country Developer. In 2021, PrestaShop achieved unprecedented results, with a 40% increase in revenue, supported by a doubling of its workforce. At the same time, the value of sales generated by its 300,000 merchants was 24 billion euros.

PrestaShop is the most used e-commerce solution in Europe and Latin America. As of 2021, the company has joined the Italian MBE Group’s portfolio, both intending to become the leading commerce, logistics and courier solution for online retailers worldwide.
