The company in Piatra Neamț, specializing in the conversion of passenger minibuses, is constructing a new facility that will increase the annual production capacity to 600 minibuses. Local Development, Global Vision

VAG Bus, the automotive company based in Piatra Neamț, which has stood out in recent years due to sustained growth in production capacity and revenue, is investing in a new factory with the aim of meeting increased demand both domestically and internationally.

The construction project for VAG Bus’s new factory for minibus production has already reached 70%, and the managers enthusiastically announce that the new facility awaits its future employees, as well as companies interested in collaborating with VAG Bus upon the official launch of the new factory in 2024.

The factory, nearing completion, is strategically located at the entrance to Piatra Neamț from Bacău Municipality, with easy access to both the national road DN15 and the nearby railway. In 2020, the land for the factory, covering an area of 40,000 m2, was acquired, and construction began shortly thereafter. The construction permit was obtained in June 2022, and work commenced in full swing.

This advanced industrial unit will produce 600 units annually, thus exponentially increasing VAG Bus’s operational capabilities. The new factory will not only serve as a production center but also as a generator of opportunities for young minds and the local economy.

VAG is thus focused on continuing to produce sustainable and versatile minibuses, with safety, comfort, and reliability as top priorities. VAG minibuses can be used for various purposes, such as passenger services, tourist transportation, long, medium, and short-distance routes, as well as for school or employee transportation.
