Tesla, the electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has announced a significant update to its Supercharger network pricing structure in Europe, aimed at providing more affordable and accessible charging options for all EV owners.

Effective since April 13th, Tesla has introduced a membership model for all users of its Supercharger network. Under this new system, EV owners can access reduced Supercharging rates by becoming members, with Tesla owners automatically enrolled as members.

Membership Options and Pricing

Starting immediately, Tesla is reducing the monthly membership fee for Supercharging from 65 RON/month to 50 RON/month. Additionally, a new annual membership option is introduced, priced at 500 RON/year, offering a 16% discount compared to the monthly subscription. Both membership tiers provide access to reduced member rates for Supercharging sessions.

Enhanced Accessibility and Affordability

With these changes, Tesla owners will continue to benefit from a seamless and fully integrated Supercharging experience at lower member rates, while non-Tesla EV owners now have more affordable options to choose from. Supercharging without a membership will still be available at stations accessible to all EV drivers, ensuring inclusivity within the EV community.

Tesla remains committed to regularly updating Supercharging rates to ensure fast-charging remains affordable for all EV drivers, while maintaining the reliability and efficiency of its network.

Seamless Transition and App Update

Customers with an active membership will automatically enjoy reduced monthly fees or have the option to switch to an annual membership plan. To access these benefits, users must update their Tesla app to version 4.32 or above, ensuring compatibility with the latest features and functionalities.

Largest and Most Extensive Fast-Charging Infrastructure

The Tesla Supercharger network stands as the largest fast-charging infrastructure globally and the most extensive public fast-charging system in Europe. With over 14,000 Superchargers spread across more than 1,100 locations in 30 European countries, Tesla continues to lead the charge in advancing EV adoption and infrastructure development.

Moreover, over 70% of the Supercharger network is now open to non-Tesla vehicles, further expanding accessibility to fast-charging facilities. Tesla remains dedicated to expanding its Supercharger network, with plans to add more stations in the near future, ensuring EV drivers have convenient access to fast and reliable charging solutions.

In conclusion, Tesla’s latest update to its Supercharger network pricing structure underscores its commitment to making sustainable transportation more accessible and affordable for all. With reduced membership rates and expanded accessibility, Tesla continues to drive innovation in the EV industry while prioritizing the needs of its customers and the broader EV community.
