The National Company Bucharest Airports (CNAB), the administrator of airports Baneasa and Henri Coanda, said it recorded a turnover of RON 425 million (EUR 91.6 million) in the first semester, up 10 percent compared to the same period of last year.
In the same period, the operation profit grew by 19.1 percent to RON 269.3 million (EUR 57.9 million). The company said the result was driven by an increase in passenger numbers and the decrease of financial expenditure due to the full payment of a loan worth EUR 31.72 million.
Dan Baciu, head of CNAB, said that investments in the airport infrastructure will continue and this will include the modernization of landing strips and the improvement of access to the airports.
