Low-cost airline Eurowings, owned by German company Lufthansa, will expand its routes from Timisoara with flights to Stuttgart starting June 2019.
On this route, Eurowings will compete with national operator Tarom, which has more expensive tickets. The low-cost company aims to offer tickets at half the prices offered by Tarom.
The route will begin operating on June 3, 2019, with three flights per week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The flight will take about an hour and 45 minutes and will be operated by Airbus A319 planes.
At the moment, Eurowings has flights from Timisoara to Frankfurt and Munchen, as well as routes from Bucharest, Sibiu and Cluj-Napoca.
