Airplane makes emergency landing on Bucharest airport following bomb threat

An airplane flying from Kutaisi (Georgia) to Warsaw (Poland) was forced to land in emergency on Romania’s main airport located in Otopeni (north of Bucharest), 173 passengers being evacuated by local security authorities.

The airplane was placed to a secured location on the airport and Romanian anti-terrorist squads intervene to establish if the threat is real, according to Mediafax.

A crisis team was created by local authorities in the airport to manage the situation.

The airplane landed on Henri Coanda International Airport at 16:20, local time.
