The National Bucharest Airports Company (CNAB) reported a traffic of almost 10.51 million passengers in the first nine months of the year, a 7.57 percent growth compared to the same period of 2017, with the most passengers recorded in August (1.43 million).
The number of aircraft movements (landings and departures) increased between January and September 2018 on both of Bucharest’s airports (Henri Coanda and Aurel Vlaicu) – reaching a total of 104,538, 5.9 percent higher than it was in 2017’s first nine months.
The 1.43 million passengers figure recorded in August 2018 was 7.87 percent higher than the figure of August 2017. The largest increase compared to 2017 was recorded in April, which had 1.14 million passengers this year, meaning 9.05 percent more than in April 2017.-
