Romania to receive EUR 50 million for setting up of young farmers

Some 3,865 requests for financing were filed during November 28, 2011 and January 13, 2012 for Measure 112 – the setting up of young farmers, announced representatives of the Payment Agency for Rural Development and Fishing (ADRP).

Out of the entire figure, 2,797 projects were declared eligible, having a total value of EU 99 million. However, only EUR 50 million of nonrefundable funds will be available during the present session for Measure 112. In order to fit in this budget, only the projects with the highest score will be selected. The maximum of amount of money that farmers can receive under Measure 112 is EUR 40,000.

Farmers requested funds for setting up or modernizing farms for vegetal, animal or mixed production as well as bee hives, according to APDRP.
