DN AGRAR - The largest integrated farm in Romania tripled its business in the first 9 months of 2022

DN AGRAR Group, the largest integrated livestock farm in Romania with cow milk production and vegetal production, continued accelerated investments this year registering, in the first nine months of 2022, a turnover of RON 103.23 million (+221.45%) and a net profit of RON 10.6 million (+249.5%), compared to the analyzed period of 2021.

The acquisition of their farms Lacto Agrar (made in December 2021) and Apold (made in April 2022), contributed with over RON 5 million to the profitability of DN AGRAR, representing over 48% of the net profit achieved, according to the financial results for the first 9 months of 2022.

“This year meant the consolidation of DN AGRAR Group’s activity and new investments, the company’s plans and strategy continuing the established direction. The completion of the investment works within Apold farm allows us to operate the two milking halls at full capacity, in 3 shifts, with an increase of the operational capacity by 50%, until the end of the year. As for Lacto Agrar farm, we started, in September 2022, the project for the construction of a new manure basin. We are in the preparation phase of the land on which we will build the basin and we estimate the completion of the construction by the beginning of 2023.”

At the level of DN AGRAR farms, the quantity of milk delivered increased by over 2.7 million liters of milk in the first 9 months of 2022, respectively by over 8.3% compared to the same period of 2021, a trend that will continue.

In the first 9 months of 2022, DN AGRAR consolidated its position as a market leader in cow milk production, with integrated operations, with over 10,500 heads of cattle, dairy cows and young cattle, and a worked area of almost 7,000 hectares of land. The goal of DN AGRAR is to reach up to 12,500 dairy cows and young cattle in the near future.

The 15 companies that are part of the portfolio of DN AGRAR Group SA, include 4 farms, whose main activity is both the breeding of dairy cattle (Prodlact farm) and the production of cow milk (Cut, Lacto Agrar and Apold farms). The company offers logistics services and transport of cow milk with specialized vehicles, both on the national territory and at European level.

In the field of cereals, the companies from DN AGRAR Group are currently cultivating over 7,000 hectares located in Alba, Sibiu and Hunedoara counties, and the objective is to reach a worked area of 10,000 hectares by purchasing other farms with vegetal and / or livestock agricultural production. The production obtained from established crops are used both to provide the forage base for their own farms and to pay the lease to those lessees who opt for cereals. The production obtained from barley and sunflower crops are used for third parties.
