2Performant exceeds the EUR 100 million threshold in sales generated in 2022

2Performant, a technology company and the leader of the affiliate marketing market in Romania, announces sales of 101.9 million euros (without VAT) generated by its platform in 2022, a 39% increase compared to the previous year, surpassing for the first time the 100 million euros threshold in the value of sales generated in a single year.

 

Of this amount, 35.6 million euros were generated in the 4th quarter alone, representing a 23% increase compared to last year.

“In a complicated year from an economic and social point of view, in which the local e-commerce industry recorded modest numbers, 2Performant once again proved its capacity for growth well above the market average. This is based on the anticipation of global trends in marketing and is reflected in the development of the platform and the ecosystem composed of thousands of affiliates and hundreds of online stores that transparently collaborate in a meritocratic system at Cost Per Sale. With these figures – 86 million clicks and 102 million euros in generated sales, 2Performant is the most important local source of traffic and sales for online stores in Romania, while also being a major platform for the monetizing digital marketing skills and capabilities for thousands of users – who registered commissions of over 6 million euros during 2022,” stated Dorin Boerescu, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of 2Performant.

In the fourth quarter of 2022, the 2Performant platform intermediated 26.4 million clicks from its 6,588 registered users, resulting in 685,000 sales, a 30% increase compared to 2021. Also, affiliate commissions were 2.1 million euros, up 19% compared to last year, while the conversion rate increased with 0.4pp to 2.6%. Although the average value of the sale decreased by 5% compared to Q4 2021, reaching 52 euros (without VAT), during this period, the average earnings of affiliates per 100 clicks increased by 6.2%, up to 8 euros. The return on affiliate marketing budgets for each invested euro registered an advance of 3.7%, reaching 16.7.

The top product categories sold in the fourth quarter of 2022 were: Fashion, Pharmaceuticals, Books & Movies & Music, Beauty, IT&C Electronics, Toys & Baby Products, Home & Garden, Health & Personal Care, Sports & Outdoors, and Jewelry. In the analyzed period, the first ten clients of 2Performant, according to the value of the generated commissions, were: Answear, Dr.Max, FashionDays, DY Fashion, Cărturesți, evoMAG, Sinsay, Librărie.net, Noriel, and Esteto.ro.

In 2022, the 24,148 users of the 2Performant platform sent 85.9 million clicks, a 25% increase compared to 2021, and generated approximately 2 million sales, a 40% increase compared to last year. Also, in 2022, affiliate commissions increased to 6.2 million euros, a 34% advance, even though the average sale value was down 1%. During this period, the conversion rate increased by 0.3 pp compared to 2021, up to 2.3%, the average earnings of affiliates per 100 clicks reached 7.25 euros, following a 7% increase, and the return on affiliate marketing budgets for each euro invested was 16.3, after a 4% advance.

In 2022, the main product categories sold were: Fashion, Pharmaceuticals, Books & Movies & Music, Beauty, IT&C Electronics, Toys & Baby Products, Home & Garden, Sports & Outdoors, Health & Personal Care, and Pet Products.

The results generated by 2Performant users are updated daily on the company’s website, where trends in online purchasing behavior are displayed both at the network level and broken down by main industries. The company intends to continue to publish such aggregated data at the end of each quarter so that shareholders and investors have a comprehensive understanding of the performance of 2Performant’s business indicators over a year of activity.
