At the end of this stage, the program’s independent jury, which included Radu Hanga, President of the Bucharest Stock Exchange, Cristian Popa, Member of the Board of Directors of the National Bank of Romania, Cristian Nacu, Senior Country Officer, International Finance Corporation, and professor Dorel Paraschiv, Deputy Rector of the Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies, analyzed the conclusions of the workshops and interviews, and decided which are the companies whose organizational and managerial practices are best aligned with the international Best Managed Companies standard.

The second local edition of Best Managed Companies was marked by growth in all aspects of the program: we had more than a hundred local companies interested to join, of which 40 advanced to the workshop stage – double than during the previous edition – , representing no less than 11 different industries and a combined turnover of over 3.7 billion euros. It has been an intense journey, along which we benefited from the remarkable contribution of our partners, BT, the traditional ally of Best Managed Companies Romania, and, starting with this second edition – BSE and EBRD. Together, we are taking important steps towards coagulating a local community of business excellence, contributing at the same time to the maturation and professionalization of the local entrepreneurial environment, to the structuring of business processes, to the search for solutions to concerns that Deloitte, especially through Deloitte Private, finds on the local entrepreneursagenda: governance solutions, financing and openness to collaboration with investment funds, measuring listing potential and IPO preparations, managing succession etc. I would like to extend my congratulations to all the participants, to the certified companies and to those who participated for the second time and were once again certified, as well as to those who did not succeed in obtaining the recognition, but have undergone together with us the workshops stage; I encourage them to re-enroll, as the international experience of the program shows that repeated participation increases the chances to obtain the certification. I therefore thank everyone, including the program’s partners and members of the jury, and, together with the project team, I look forward to welcoming them at Best Managed Companies Romania 2024,” stated Andrei Burz-Pînzaru, Partner, Deloitte, and leader of the Deloitte Private program in Romania.
