In 2022, labor law has been the subject of many debates and the outlook for 2023 is still very much in the balance. That’s why at Business Review’s upcoming Working Romania HR Conference, we have turned to one of the best professionals in this field, Tiberiu Csaki of Dentons, Partner & Head of Employment and Labor, who will be a speaker in the first panel of the day, titled Keeping an eye on the #FUTUREOFWORK. Join him and an entire roster of top speakers on December 13 at the Courtyard by Marriott Bucharest Floreasca, starting with 11 AM.

Tiberiu Csaki, a highly experienced lawyer, with more than 30 years of practicing law, is the head of Dentons’ Employment practice group in Bucharest. He concentrates his long standing experience primarily in commercial litigation and international arbitration (including alternative dispute resolution), and also has extensive experience in labour litigation, restructuring and insolvency, mergers and acquisitions, securities and privatisations.

He advises some of the largest Romanian and multinational employers – including Autoliv, Halliburton, or JLG Manufacturing on a wide range of labor matters, with focus on conclusion, suspension and termination of labor contracts, including redundancies, disciplinary actions and dismissals, discrimination claims, collective negotiations, relationship with the unions, internal investigations, internal policies and regulations, labor litigation and representation in investigation of work accidents by the labor and/or judicial authorities.

“Although the unpredictability of the economic landscape remains the main challenge, employers seem to get used to live with it and be less inclined to resort to redundancies and closure of business, total or partial, as a first alternative, unless there is no other option left. Instead, based on the labor legislation specifically applicable during the state of alert, the employers may implement flexible working alternatives in relation to their employees, mainly including the teleworking and the “Kurzarbeit”, which help the employers to reduce their working force costs while keeping their employees.” Tiberiu Csaki said at the Working Romania Spring edition.

The Chambers and Partners Europe respected legal directory reads that “The team lead by Tiberiu Csaki takes a short time to respond to all requests.” He is described by one interviewee as a “very well-prepared lawyer.”

Also according to Legal 500 “Tiberiu Csaki is an excellent and highly experienced lawyer with great knowledge and deep attachment to the client matter and extensive and remarkable skills in complementary fields”.

Csaki has been Dentons’ head of litigation and arbitration, restructuring & insolvency, and employment practice groups for the past 13 years.
