Antoniu Panait, the Managing Director of Vastint Romania, is set to become a speaker at Business Review’s Rising Cities. Smart Future 2022, where he will open the first panel of the day titled “Challenges and opportunities for a sustainable environment within a modern city.” Join him and an entire line-up of top speakers at the premier smart city event in Romania, on June 9 at the Courtyard by Marriott Bucharest Floreasca!

“A “smart” city is defined as a city that collects relevant data and strives to use modern technology to streamline traffic, encourage public transportation, reduce pollution and energy consumption, and seeks to improve citizens’ relationship with the authorities, their living conditions, as well as health and educational systems. In short, a smart city uses technology to improve the lives of its inhabitants. With today’s rising concerns for the environment, it’s only natural for green buildings to continue to grow in popularity. Whether we are talking about residential structures or corporate facilities, the new generation of architects and developers are finding ways to contribute to the preservation of our ecosystem while reducing carbon footprints. The development of green buildings must be synchronised with that of other elements that make up a smart city, so that the whole ecosystem grows in size and value, having a direct impact on the people living there, increasing their quality of life.” Says the Managing Director of Vastint Romania.

Antoniu Panait will share insights drawn from his vast experience as the Managing Director of one of the most dynamic companies in Romania’s office real estate sector in the first panel of the event titled “Challenges and opportunities for a sustainable environment within a modern city.” Together with a series of top business professionals, the VASTINT Managing Director will explore topics such as green and smart buildings, energy efficiency, health security, or the well-being of citizens and employees.

Antoniu Panait is one of the most seasoned professionals in the office real estate sector, being almost synonymous with his company, Vastint Romania, which he has led since its establishment in January 2009.

“It’s well known that communities play an important role in our lives. Our whole activity is split between communities, whether we are talking about our friends, families, employment, neighborhoods, or an artistic community. Having a sense of community unites, and for sure makes our tenants feel better, giving them the opportunity to connect with people that have the same values and preferences. We experience the need to create and develop a strong community even more during this period, thus the need to communicate more and to give them access to amenities such as multimodal football court, outdoor gym activities, outdoor spaces when they can work or relax and feel safe.” Says Panait.

Antoniu Panait has an executive experience of more than 13 years, mainly in real estate, and has been leading Vastint since 2009. With a strong foundation built on legal studies, embracing diverse operational responsibilities including administrating complex portfolios and evaluating investment opportunities, he took on the challenge to build and grow the Vastint team and projects in Romania at only 31 years old.

“Benefiting from the experience that we currently have within our new and modern projects, it is for sure easier to create a community based on the functionalities of an already friendly and sustainable environment. The technical details are for sure a big advantage, being able to ensure the safety and comfort of the tenants make a great deal in their openness to cooperate. Even more, the amenities like outdoor spaces, variety of restaurants, easily accessible locations, are becoming a must for the decision-makers in terms of choosing a new office space, it will not be seen anymore just as a space where you work but as an active part of your daily life.” Antoniu Panait tells Business Review.
