How Apa Nova practices reflect the principles of sustainability and circular economy

“In order to maintain its infrastructure, year-by-year, Apa Nova Bucuresti operates big investment programs. These programs are based on Apa Nova’s access to the know-how and the expertise, both technical and managerial, of the leading global environmental services provider, the Veolia Group,” says Andrei Hoștiuc. “To transition from a resource consumption model to a use & recover model, Veolia conceives and implements solutions which aim to improve access to resources, protecting and renewing them at the same time.”

Andrei Hoștiuc on Apa Nova’s digitalization

“Apa Nova Bucuresti and the Veolia Group understood and anticipated the need of digital transformation for a few years now. We approached this process taking into account the three pillars of an organization: people, processes, infrastructure. If we’re talking about processes, the digital transformation must touch on both production and operational aspects, the supporting processes of our company, our clients, and employees. For this, we allocated several million Euros worth of investments, and we’re planning further investments of the same size. We are going to accelerate our digital transformation, which has become a neccessity, but also could become a competitive advantage in the future.

We are in a constant search for innovative and environment friendly technologies, that also have this automation component. Today at Apa Nova, our water treatment stations are fully automated, we have smart metering applications through which we monitor consumption, and we also have applications for monitoring water quality.”
