Michel Eschenbrenner, Servier Pharma Romania, takes the spotlight at FIS 2023

Michel Eschenbrenner, the General Manager of Servier Pharma Romania, will be a speaker at the Foreign Investors Summit  2023. The event, hosted at The Marmorosch Bucharest, Autograph Collection, will take place on November 22-23 and aims to connect investors, companies, and economic development organizations from around the world.

With over 15 years of experience in Servier, Michel Eschenbrenner now coordinates the company’s strategy in the local market and aims to constantly promote the company’s mission, which is to offer future generations a healthier world.  Together with his team of approximately 300 employees, Michel Eschenbrenner placed Servier Romania as a leader in cardiology and developed a strong presence in oncology and diabetology. At the summit, he will share his insights on the latest trends and challenges in the healthcare sector, as well as the opportunities and potential for growth in Romania.

Beyond supporting health, Servier is helping the economic and social conditions in the communities in which it operates – with projects helping integration of young people coming out of social protection centers, education actions for children from disadvantaged communities, charitable actions supported by employees through volunteering for children from disadvantaged areas, integration of young teachers in schools from disadvantaged communities, vocational counseling, career guidance for high school students, and career orientation for students in university centers.

“We want to continue the same approach and invest for the future. The need for stability and predictability for these investments, independent of the sector, it’s a prerequisite. Although Romania continues to register economic growth compared to other countries in our region that have already entered recession, unfortunately, the recent fiscal policy measures will not only negatively affect investments but potentially will affect the regular availability of medicines on the Romanian market, as it impacts the full distribution chain. We will continue to work with the national authorities and find a common ground to avoid further unpredictable taxation of the existing contributors, because there is a risk of diminishing their contribution, and think about how to foster investment and create a stable and predictable ground for the future,” says Michel Eschenbrenner.
