Constantin Sebesanu (CEO – Impact Developer & Contractor) joins BR’s Environmental & Sustainability Summit

Investment has been the driving force behind Impact Developer & Contractor since Constantin Sebesanu was named CEO earlier this year. He took the reins during one of the residential sector’s best periods in years, with high demand across the board. However, Sebesanu has to make sure that costs don’t slip out of control as prices for construction materials have skyrocketed in the past year.

Sebesanu is implementing the developer’s strategy of creating sustainable residential projects. As the near-zero energy buildings (NZEB) regulation was introduced in Romania earlier this year, the company is investing in technologies that will help residents consume fewer resources in the long term and rely more on renewable energy. At the same time, Impact has been investing in new facilities for its community of more than 6,000 residents in north Bucharest.

Since the beginning of the year and especially in the last six months, Impact shares have doubled their value amid the reaction of obvious interest of investors to the company’s announcements regarding the elaboration and start of the national development strategy, a strategy that centers around the concept of sustainability.

The company’s development plan for the next 6 years includes the completion of the projects under execution and the start of 8 new projects, mainly on the land currently existing in the portfolio. In line with previous developments, the new residential projects will be developed on large areas of land, in outstanding locations, with green neighborhoods, built to nZEB and BREEAM Excellent standards using sustainable principles and technologies, respectively using alternative energy sources, smart city solutions, electric mobility solutions. The projects will provide essential services integrated within community centers, including digitized property management services.

Recently, Impact Developer & Contractor took another major step in its development strategy and established an ESG (Environmental, Social and Corporate Governance) department within the organizational structure.
