Tazz and The Social Incubator launch The School of Riders, a professional integration program for youth

The School of Riders is a social program created to facilitate the professional integration of young people from vulnerable environments, especially those from the child protection system, who find themselves in a situation of having to fend for themselves once they leave the welfare system.  For most of them, the first job is the hardest to get, so Tazz and The Social Incubator Association provide them with a program incorporating both training and benefits, meant to support their first steps in their career and their path to independence.

What is The School of Riders

Through The School of Riders’ counseling and mentoring program, Tazz and The Social Incubator help young people from the child protection system and other vulnerable groups to get oriented, informed and educated in order to choose the path they want to pursue in life. The program is particularly aimed at young people who are leaving the care of the state, left to fend for themselves in a society that does not offer them many opportunities for a better future. Statistics show that, at the moment, only 2.5% of young people who leave the child protection system in Romania end up in legal employment.

What does the School of Riders mean for the young people in the program

The School of Riders supports and encourages vulnerable young people’s social and professional integration, facilitating their transition to an independent life.  Thus, in the first phase of the program, over 30 young people from Bucharest, aged between 17 and 26, both boys and girls, are already taking part in self-awareness workshops and practical courses for professional profiling, career planning and financial education, offered by The Social Incubator.

In the second phase of the program, young adults enrolled in The School of Riders project have the opportunity to get acquainted with the rider job, participating in professional training sessions on communication, food delivery behavior and the rider’s application usage, held by Tazz representatives. As a practical part of the program, youngsters will take to the field with top Tazz riders, who will share their experience with them while picking up and delivering an order together.

In addition, young people interested in becoming riders will benefit from Tazz support to start their first job, from full Tazz gear – bike helmet, bag, jacket, T-shirt, cap, and smartphone, to bikes, preventative bike riding classes and other exclusive benefits for future riders in the program.

Tazz and Social Incubator, the beginnings of a beautiful partnership

Thus, the School of Riders supports these young adults in becoming financially and socially independent at a turning point in their lives. Through an interactive learning and career guidance experience, offered by an entire ecosystem of mentors, vocational counsellors from the The Social Incubator Association, trainers and Tazz team members, the program aims to facilitate their access to the labor market and their integration into society.

The trusted partner in this program is the non-profit organization The Social Incubator, founded 8 years ago by a group of professionals and friends wishing to build a platform of initiatives with significant social impact in the lives of young people in the protection system, providing them with support in the social integration process through personalized services and innovative entrepreneurship solutions.  So far, more than 22,000 young people have benefited from the help of The Social Incubator. The School of Riders therefore supports the growth of this number of beneficiaries.

The School of Riders is an initiative that we care about very much, because, together with our partners from The Social Incubator, we can bring a real impact in the lives of young people in the child protection system by integrating them into the labor market. Thus, with this program, we aim to support as many young people from vulnerable backgrounds as possible, offering them everything they need to step confidently into life: from a learning and career guidance experience, to providing full equipment for the job they are going to do, thus helping them to become independent in the shortest time possible.” said Cristina Sauciuc, Head of Brand & Communications Tazz.

Getting the first job is usually a challenge, so, at The Social Incubator, we want to make this process easier for the young people who cross our doorsteps. From self-awareness and personal development workshops to professional orientation and skills’ development courses, we aim to help youth with everything we can when they leave the welfare system after high school.  And when a partner like Tazz joins us, and innovative programs like The School of Riders are born, we have no words to describe the joy we feel, both us and the young people who thus get their first job and support when they need it the most.” added Adriana Preda, Executive Director & Board Member, The Social Incubator Association.
