The third edition of the Bucharest City Marathon kicks off in October

The Bucharest Running Club Association launched yesterday the 2010 edition of the Bucharest City Marathon (BCM), which will take place in October.

 The event, which was included in the international street marathon’s calendar, will feature three competitions (marathon, marathon-relay and semi-marathon) and two events outside of the competition (a fun race and a kids’ race). Money gathered from the fun race will be donated to the Viitor Plus association and to Hospice Casa Sperantei.

 The marathon covers a race distance of 42.1 km in a time limit of six hours. A number of 44 athletes from six countries have already registered the event.
