Still shots from various locations in the Romanian countryside are going on display at the Romanian Peasant Museum (Muzeul Taranului Roman), through the “Great Rambling” traveling exhibition.

The still have been taken by young photographers under the guidance of Sorin Onisor, in various camps organized by the artist, as: Bucovina, Maramures, Danube Delta, the area of cave churches in Buzau, Saxon village around Sibiu, Apuseni mountains, the hilly side of Moldavia, etc.

“The exhibition is a warning, an attempt to attract viewers in the fight to preserve landscapes and untouched areas, for the salvation of the Romanian village traditions, the crafts of local artisans (blacksmiths, potters, etc.), as well as the simple traditions of local peasant that have been cultivating the land for thousands of years,” says coordinating photographer Sorin Onisor.

Onisor was designated Photographer of the Year by the Association of Romanian Artist Photographers (Asociatia Artistilor Fotografi din Romania). He has 10 personal exhibits and 40 collective such participations. He is also known for his dedication towards the Romanian village.

The other exhibiting photographers are: Ionel Onofras (who also guided the others participants, together with Onisor), Ionut Tabarcea, Gina Buliga, Dan Simoaica, Alex Popa, Cristian Dumitru, Ana Marie Tanasie, Daniel Penciuc, Camelia Grigor,  Nurdangul Irving, Dana Constantinescu, Florin Bogasieru, Monica Simona Calfa, Sandu Roxana Terezia, Ovidiu Cristian Covatariu and Laurian Ghinitoiu.
