Dino Parc Râșnov, the largest dinosaur park in South-Eastern Europe, is celebrating 7 years of activity this year, the number of people who visited it reaching 2,769,375 over this period.

In 2022, 132,398 persons visited the dinosaur park so far, while the park’s record attained in the best year before the pandemic was beat on June, 1, with 5,600 visitors.

Upon celebrating its 7 years anniversary, on June, 12, two much-awaited concerts took place at Dino Parc Râșnov, with Iuliana Beregoi and Alina Sorescu together with her chorus of children, Picii lu` Soreasca.

And since every year brings new elements for the visitors, this year, the park launches two new exhibitions: “The Ice Age”, which is already available to the public, and “Dinosaurs, the Ancestors of Present-day Birds”, which will be launched on June, 18. With these exhibitions, Dino Parc Râșnov strengthens even more its position as an open-air museum, which fosters access to education and information for children, in a fun and attractive manner.

The park prides itself with a permanent collection of 100 life-size dinosaurs, created according to the latest scientific discoveries. All exhibitions and exhibits within Dino Parc Râșnov are made in partnership with the University of Bucharest, Grigore Antipa National Museum of Natural History, Geological Institute of Romania, National Szekler Museum, Braşov County History Museum, as well as with local and international private partners.

“From the very beginning, we wanted to create an ideal destination for the entire family and we believe we have managed to do so. We are thrilled that we can provide 4 hectares of forest, filled with dinosaurs, exhibitions, and activities available to the visitors throughout the year.

So far, the year 2022 has pleasantly surprised us with a growing number of visitors and we continue to expect all those who are passionate about dinosaurs, both young and old, to visit us this summer. We have prepared a multitude of novel shows and events, which we invite you to discover”, declared Adrian Apostu, manager of Dino Parc Râşnov.

Over the past years, Dino Parc Râșnov has become a magnet for tourists, and it thus came to be included among the top 50 destinations for children and families in Europe and among the top 10 Romanian sites with the most visits on Google Maps, which was also reflected in the figures. So far, for the year 2022, Dino Parc Râșnov has registered a turnover of RON 4.297.135,71, which is 9.77% higher than that of the same period from the year 2021, the best in the park’s history.
