Street Delivery, now at its sixth edition, commences its already trademark cultural activities on June 10th and ends on June 12th. As in all of the previous editions in Bucharest, Arthur Verona street will be closed to automobiles and will only allow access to pedestrians and to bicycle users. Concerts, fairs and open-air feel-good activities are all part of the program this, among many other creative events.

Among the artists that will perform at this year’s edition (50 in total) are Ghostpoet, Alexander Robotnick and SubCarpati. The Romanian Cultural Institute will also be present at this event, with a multimedia exhibit, a film projection, a fado concert and a multicultural picnic. An exhibit of old Romanian ads will be showcased at Carturesti library and open-air movie projections will take place at Gradina Verona venue. OAR Garden (The Romanian Achitects’ Order Garden) will host an intercultural picnic.

Street Delivery is a lobby initiative aimed at the Bucharest City Hall, calling for the widening of sidewalks across Bucharest, the creation of a pedestrian underground passage to cross Magheru Boulevard and the construction of multi-storey car parks. The event’s wide array of artistic activities takes place annually on Arthur Verona Street, which is closed to motor vehicles, allowing access only to pedestrians and cyclists. In previous editions, Street Delivery attracted between 20,000 and 30,000 visitors.
