The Piata Victoriei subway station in Bucharest will supply the right context for the showcasing of short films between June 23 and July 23. The film projections will take place on the platform on Piata Victoriei 2, that heads for Piata Romana, in the Berceni direction. Harp, saxophone and double bass performances will be held in the open air, in fron of the Unirea store and the fountain, in front of the Bucharest University (Universitate).

Among the short films to be projected at the subway: J’attendrai le suivant, The Job and Oktapodi. J’attendrai le suivant (I’ll Be Waiting for the Next One, directed by Philippe Orreindy, France, 2002) is a short film with an Oscar nomination in its portfolio about a man searching for his love at the subway (where else?). The Job (directed by Jonathan Browning, USA, 2007) is an ironic depiction of the work market. Oktapodi ( directed by Quentin Marmier, Thierry Marchand, François Xavier Chanioux, Emud Mokhberi, Julien Bocabeille, Olivier Delabarre, France, 2007) tells the story of two octopuses trying to rescue one another. It received over six international prices and an Oscar nomination in 2009.

The outdoor music performances will take place in the following hour interval (on the dates mentioned above): 8.30 – 9.30 in the morning, 12.30 – 13.30 and 18.00 – 19.00.

The event is organized by Grolsch beer brand.
