The Saint Petersburg State Ballet on Ice will perform a show on ice at the Palace Hall on April 14. The concert is organized by the Embassy of the Russian Federation and Vreau Bilet agency.
The music was composed in 1875 by Piotr Ceaikovsky but the ballet libretto (in four acts) was written by Vladimir Berghicev and V. Ghelzer, who took inspiration from an ancient Russian legend. The premiere of the ballet took place in Saint Petersburg at the Mariinski Theater in 1895, but failed to make an impression because of the inadequate staging. After less than a century, the Saint Petersburg State Ballet on Ice was founded to offer an alternative to classical ballet. Ticket prices for the show, which range from RON 70 to 200, are available in the Vreau Bilet network in Unirea Shopping Center, Carrefour Feeria-Baneasa Shopping City, Universitate passage (the Trident Touring agency), the Palace Hall and online on www.vreaubilet.ro.
