Reamonn to open for Aerosmith

Reamonn, famous for hits such as Supergirl and Tonight, will be the opening act for rock legends Aerosmith, who will play Bucharest on June 18 at Romexpo.

An alternative rock and folk outfit, German group Reamonn took its name from Irish soloist Reamonn Garvey. The band’s first album Tuesday, released in 2000, went gold, spawning the hit Supergirl, which reached the top ten all over Europe. In 2003, Reamonn released Beautiful Sky, which grossed spectacular sales on the back of hits such as Star and Allright.

In 2008, Reamonn performed at the opening of a speech delivered by Barack Obama in Berlin, in front of a crowd of 200,000.

Later, the band named Obama an honorary member and gave him a membership ring.
