The fourth edition of “5 High Schools, 5 Museums”, aiming to encourage younger generations to take part in cultural manifestations, has begun on February 15. It is part of the “International Year of Youth” and has as partner the UN Information Center for Romania, together with the Bucharest School Inspectorate, Bucharest City Hall and ECDL Romania.
The project will take place in five high schools from Bucharest: Ion Neculce, Dante Alighieri, Mihai Eminescu, Dragomir Hurmuzescu and Iuliu Maniu. The five museums that have joined the project are: Old Western Art Museum “Ing. Dumitru Furnica – Minovici”, Bucharest History Museum, Technical Museum “Prof. Ing. Dimitrie Leonida”, National Village Museum “Dimitrie Gusti” and Military National Museum “King Ferdinand I”.
The museums will provide free access to high school students with an appetite for culture and the project will challenge students to a general knowledge competition, which will take place on www.ecdl.org.ro. Students will be asked to create a ten-minute reportage of their museum visit and will take place until January 2011.
