Verdiaa‚¬a„¢s Nabucco holds the spotlight at the Bucharest National Opera in Easter week

Opera aficionados are expected at an intricate representation of one of Verdi’s best known creations, Nabucco, next week, on April 20, at the Bucharest National Opera. Within this spectacle, special guests Carlos Almaguer and Cristian Mogosan will play the roles of Nabucco, and Ismael (which is Mogosan’s debut role).

The story of the clash between the Israelites and the Babylonians led by Nabucco, whose daughter falls in love with an Israeli officer, will also feature some of the Bucharest National Opera’s known artists, as Pompeiu Harasteanu, Silvia Sorina Munteanu, Oana Andra, Marius Bolos, Valentin Racoveanu, Dorina Chesei and ballet soloists Madalina Sl
