Pocket-sized art goes under the hammer

Over 100 small-sized paintings and sculptures, bearing well-known signatures, will be auctioned on February 23 and 24 by Artmark. The auction and prior exhibit will reunite artists as Corneliu Baba, Alexandru Ciucurencu, Dumitru Ghiata, Nicolae Grigorescu, Iosif Iser, Samuel Mutzner, Theodor Pallady, Gheorghe Petrascu, Francisc Sirato and Nicolae Tonitza.

Another important moment of the event will be the Auction of Collection Wines and the Auction of the Petre Buzatov Postmodernism Collection, taking place on the evening of February 23.

The paintings may be admired at an exhibit held at Marriott Hotel between February 19 and 19-24 February, 11.00-12.00. Over a half of them will be auctioned at prices between EUR 100 and 1000. The total value of sales is expected to reach somewhere between EUR 280,000 and 460,000.

The second day of the auction will offer a selection decorative art works of precious metals, glass and porcelain, signed by known European workshops, as well as antiquitiy stores.
