Local (predominantly) alternative music festival B’estfest continues confirmations for its three-day lineup in its brand new and green location, B’estfest Park. Lamb will join Asian Dub Foundation on the second day of the festival, July 2.

Lamb, an electronic music duo from Manchester, England, consists of producer Andy Barlow, who also uses the pseudonym Hipoptimist as a producer, and singer-songwriter Lou Rhodes. They achieved commercial success with two hit singles Górecki and Gabriel (listen to the latter in a live version dating since 2003). Although their music is influenced and defined by genres as electronica, jazz, breakbeat and drum and bass, Lamb are more commonly associated with the trip hop sound that was popular during the 1990s.

So far, at B’estfest, the following artists have confirmed their arrival: brit rockers Skunk Anansie, the Australian drum and bass/electronic band Pendulum, dub musicians Asian Dub Foundation, the Irish-American punk and hip-hoppers from House of Pain and Flogging Molly and British new ravers Hadouken.

Tickets for the fourth B’estfest cost RON 125 for one day, while a pass for the festival’s whole three days is RON 265. Camping access will be an extra RON 15. By March 22, tickets may be purchased at a 20 percent discount. Tickets are available for purchase in the Diverta chain and on www.myticket.ro. Tickets may also be purchased in the days of the festival for RON 150 per day and a three days’ pass for RON 285, but only in the first day of the festival.
