Andrei Ujica’s picture, a montage of some of Ceausescu’ best known speeches, will be launched in Romania, at Sala Palatului, on October 28. Sala Palatului used to be one of the Romanian dictator’s locations of choice for his renowned speeches, praising the country’s past and present accomplishments, as well as future plans.
The film is the result of over one thousand hours of footage, reaching a running time of three hours. The Autobiography of Nicolae Ceausescu has received positive reviews ever since its launch at the Cannes film festival in May, this year. The film is presented as an autobiography of Nicolae Ceausescu, since it displays the lives of the dictator and his wife through the propagandistic perspective of communism.
Tickets cost RON 5 and can be purchased at the premiere’s location. Starting October 29, The Autobiography of Nicolae Ceausescu will be screened at cinemas across Bucharest, Timisoara and Cluj.
