Nice place, shame about the menu

There are 19 gastronomic regions in Italy. I anticipated for instance: numerous rice dishes from Lombardy, the bean and grain dishes of Liguria, the numerous pig dishes of Emila-Romagna, the hot chilli dishes of Abuzzo, the Arabic-spiced cuisine of Sicily… and so on.
But what did I get? Upmarket trattoria food! It is undoubtedly the finest trattoria in Romania but everything they offered on their menu could be found elsewhere in town. And this surprises me because they are clearly proud of the quality of their ingredients.
The first page of their menu points out that their fish is imported from Italy and it is not farmed, that they only use high quality Argentinian beef, their olive oil is top quality and they only cook with seasonal produce. And all of this is true! If we throw into the mix that the location and d
