Mastering the Music Business 2023 Begins

Between September 5th and 7th, Hotel Caro becomes the place where both artists and industry professionals have the opportunity to meet with top experts in the field, learn from them, and interact directly within the MMB conference.

Event Coordinates

Over 40 panels, workshops, case studies, presentations, and Q&A sessions will take place at Hotel Caro from September 5th to 7th, starting at 10 AM and ending at 6 PM. Daily receptions will provide participants with the opportunity to interact with each other and enjoy short performances by artists Dimitri’s Bata, E-an-na, and Iova.

Key Topics of Discussion

In the workshops, participants will learn how to manage crisis communication and stress in such a dynamic environment. They will gain insights into how lyrics are written and how storytelling is crucial. They will understand copyright rules, how to secure funding, and the role of technology and digital platforms in today’s music. Among the most anticipated discussions are those regarding the importance of AI in the industry, the role of music in social initiatives, as well as in tourism and the country’s economy. Promoting diversity and inclusion among artists, mental health, and techniques for maintaining it, along with insights into organizing festivals and how artists can perform on big stages, are also on the agenda.

MMB Showcase Festival

The MMB Showcase is a festival that presents rising artists from Romania and around the world, taking place from September 5th to 7th at Club Expirat. The daily schedule of the 18 bands is as follows:

Admission to the MMB Showcase Festival is free, subject to available seating. Access for the public will begin each festival evening at 7:00 PM.
