Imagine Festival, promoting young musicians, prepares for 2011 edition in Romania

This year’s edition of the Imagine festival will begin in April. Its goal is to promote young, emerging artists from the most various of styles. Participants must be aged between 12 and 20 and will be selected according to criteria as musical competence, originality, preparation, scene charisma and communication capacity. The festival will makes its debut in April and will last through September.

In April, entries will start, while at the start of September, in Sibiu, a three-day marathon will take place, in Piata Mare (the central square). Finalists and semi-finalists of the competition will take to the stage, as well as special guests: byron, Paradigma and bands from Sweden, Belgium, Croatia, Norway and winners of previous local editions of the competitions. Participants will also be invited to jam sessions.

The festival is organized in Romania by Elite Art Club Unesco and is globally developed by Jeunesses Musicales International. In Romania, local band byron are partner’s to this year’s edition.
