The event was hosted by the Serendipity tea house. Twenty young artists and producers such as Alina Coman, Margele cu dragoste, Amelie, Toot, FunyBjijoux, Gentutze.ro, Buri, Sucita, I love green, Hybrid Rainbow and Butzi Proiect displayed small presents manufactured manually in minute detail. Visitors who browsed through the range of goods on offer could find jewels, wallets, purses, decorations, icons, beads, caps and many other items.
“Iarnaroc is a project that aims to make of Bucharest a place where more and more people see beyond the grey of the city,” said Mihai Lungeanu, managing partner of Pygmalion agency, responsible for the creative part of the event. “Visitors to this fair will be especially Bucharesters who often go to tea stores and are willing to appreciate special things. By this we especially mean young people who are attracted to the idea of the new, unique and diverse,” said Lungeanu.
The entrance fee was RON 10. Some of the raised money will be spent by organizers on Christmas presents for children in an orphanage.
