Of French origin, Lechleiter comes from Slovenia where he worked as a general manager of the local subsidiary of GSK and prior to this held several management positions in the commercial and financial departments in UK and Ireland. “Romania is a great market and important to GSK. Our investment in Europharm, where we have our own production unit and distribution company, shows our engagement to Romania” said David Lechleiter.
Musneci, former GSK Romania general manager and regional vice-president for the southern area of Eastern Europe, has led the company since 2001 and has now decided to pursue personal plans, starting his own company in the domain of governmental affairs.
“The five and a half years spent within GSK Romania and Eastern Europe has brought me a lot of satisfaction, both professional and personal. I leave GSK but I remain an ally and advisor to the company,” Musneci said. “With David Lechleiter as GM the future of GSK Romania is in good hands.”
