French movie fest deals with the contemporary

A retrospective dedicated to Olivier Assayas, an “In the Spotlight” section will be dedicated to actress Ludivine Saignier and the “White Night” of the French cinematography. The “Formidable” section will bring together six movie critics, while director Cristian Mungiu, winner of the Palm d'Or trophy in Cannes this year, will feature in the “In Control” section. A series of top guests such as director Pascal Thomas and actress Annelise Hesme will try to uncover the similarities between Romanian and French cinema.
