The first vertical garden is being built in Romania in the shape of an arch, as the symbol of the Award Gala for a Clean Environment.

The garden is being built on Unirii Blvd. in front of the future National Library, and should be finished by October 10. It will be 20 meters long, 6 meters wide and 6.5 meters in height. The entire garden will weigh up to 50 tons and the planted area will be around 200 square meters. The garden will be in the administration of the district 3 Bucharest City Hall.

The garden is built by ECOTIC, a collective organization for DEE waste management. The evolution of the works and the final result can be watched on the website www.PremiilePentruMediu.ro
