“Fifty shades of grey” tops Romanian box office over weekend

The movie “Fifty shades of grey” by Sam Taylor-Johnson, made after the novel written by EL James, ranked first in the Romanian box office this weekend, with revenues amounting RON 2,7 million (EUR 607,014) and 145,702 spectators.

“Fifty shades of grey”, starring actors Jamie Dornan and Dakota Johnson, is considered to be one of the most provocative films of the past decade. The action takes place in Seattle, where Anastasia Steele, a 22-year old student yields to the charm and sadomasochistic practices of billionaire Christian Grey.

The movie is distributed in Romania by Ro Image 2000.
