Romanian Diversity Chamber of Commerce (RDCC) will host the Gender Equal Investment Funds Conference 2023, which will take place on 6 June 2023, at the Marmorosch Hotel in Bucharest. This is the first event dedicated to investments and gender equality in Romania.

While progress has been made in the fight for gender equality, RDCC aims to address the challenges women face when starting their own businesses, as well as how investment funds allocate their capital in relation to gender equality.

“The Gender Equal Investment Fund 2023 conference is a valuable opportunity to highlight the topic of gender equality in the field of investments in Central and Eastern Europe. The challenges and opportunities for women in investment funds in this region are real and need to be actively addressed. Through innovative strategies and the promotion of gender diversity in the financial sector, we can create a more equitable and prosperous environment for all. Case studies of successful women-led investment funds will demonstrate the power and potential they bring to the regional economy. Gender equality is not just a matter of social justice but also a catalyst for economic growth and sustainable development in Central and Eastern Europe,” Lara Tassan Zanin, Head of the European Investment Bank (EIB) in Romania, said.

The conference will bring up topics such as gender equality and investments in Central and Eastern Europe, challenges and opportunities for women in investment funds in Central and Eastern Europe, strategies for achieving gender diversity in investment funds, and will present several case studies of successful women-led investment funds in the region.

“Investing in women-founded businesses is not just an act of fairness and equality; it is a strategic move that unlocks untapped potential and fuels fantastic growth and returns for funds. Women bring unique perspectives, fresh ideas, and unparalleled resilience to the table, making them a force to be reckoned with in the business world,” Lestat Monroe, Founder and RDCC Board member, added.
