The second Rethink Romania Summit will take place from 2 to 4 November on the theme “Human Capital in the Age of Artificial Intelligence”. The event will take place in Poiana Brasov, where more than 300 business leaders, parliamentarians, civil society representatives, researchers and experts will gather to discuss and develop innovative perspectives and solutions for human capital development policies.

The two-day Summit will provide a unique platform for dialogue and collaboration. Discussions will build on the two major Rethink studies we are launching:

  • A study that will analyse the values of the most influential 20% of Romanians, including attitudes towards Romania, intentions to emigrate and fears experienced.
  • An analysis of the demographic profile of Romanians, which will capture emerging trends in depopulation, the emergence of major metropolitan areas, migration and education. The study includes an index of the demographic vulnerability of the country’s counties.

The event agenda will include plenary sessions and interactive workshops, where participants will be able to explore topics such as the impact of emerging technologies on the labour market, the evolution of education in the digital age and the ethical challenges of artificial intelligence.

The 300 guests will have the opportunity to build scenarios for Romania’s immediate future, but also to identify potential solutions for better human capital formation in Romania. More than 20 speakers and facilitators will set the main directions, a list of which is available on the official event page.

“We are delighted that this second edition of the summit brings together leaders and innovators from several fields, who will, for two days, think and cooperate in the direction we hope and expect Romania to follow in the coming years. We will have presentations and workshops, integrating the impact that artificial intelligence brings to expanding human potential. At the same time, it is clear to us that we all have steps to take, together, so that in 2050, Romania will be the country where our children and grandchildren will love to live”, said Dragos Anastasiu, President of Rethink Romania.
