Between June 20 and July 22, Sala Dalles will be the setting for the exhibition of the well known magazine Pif Gadget entitled “Pif in Romania – a hero of Golden Age”.

Pif Gadget was a French comics magazine for children, published from 1969 to 1993 and 2004 to 2009. Its audience peaked in the early 1970s and it was one of the few foreign titles available in Romania during the communist period. The adventures of Placid and Muzo, Corto Maltese, Arthur the phantom, Rahan, Pif and Hercule were for many their first lessons of French language.

The exhibition’s curators are Jean-Pierre Dirick and Stefan Constantinescu, a Romanian and a French because the idea of the event is to discover how Pif is interpreted in two countries with such different cultures between 1970 and 1980.
