Paolo Gentiloni and David Rowan will attend the Romanian Business & Investment Roundtable conference

Paolo Gentiloni, European Commissioner for Economy, and David Rowan, a technology expert, former editor-in-chief of Wired magazine and author of the global best-seller No-Bullshit Innovation, will attend the Romanian Business & Investment Roundtable Conference, organized by the Economist Impact Events in partnership with official representatives Hazlis & Rivas and Oxygen, and Business Review as online communication partner, on March 29th, 2022, in Bucharest. Other guest speakers include Harper Reed, high-tech entrepreneur and CTO in the Obama administration, and John Bruton, former Prime Minister of Ireland. 

 

European Commissioner Paolo Gentiloni will detail investment plans in key areas under the new security context. The European official will also speak about the status of the European Plan for Recovery and Resilience, implemented in Romania through PNRR and through which Romania has already received two installments, totaling 3.79 billion euros. 

As a speaker, tech guru David Rowan will address the impact that new technologies can have on the business environment in the future and the steps companies need to take in order to best profit from these technologies. Author of the bestseller Non-Bullshit Innovation: Radical Ideas from the World’s Smartest Minds, David Rowan embarks on a journey to 20 countries to discover examples of bold corporate innovation and outlines 16 proven strategies for doing business in the future. The latest edition incorporates lessons for the post-COIVD-19 world.  David will be attending the technology panel. 

The Economist conference, under the theme “Is there reason for long-term optimism?”, has already announced other important guest speakers such as Harper Reed, an American tech entrepreneur and former CTO in the Obama administration, and John Bruton, the former Irish prime minister who helped transform the country’s economy into the “Celtic Tiger” and one of the fastest-growing countries in the world.  The conference will be attended by top speakers, government officials, leaders, and important representatives of the business environment in Romania and the region.
